The European Network for Safety among the Elderly has published its January 2012 Newsletter.
The Newsletter deals with issues such as the effects of the economic crisis on the health of the elderly citizens. It refers to a study on accidental falls due to impaired vision in the elderly and makes a very interesting historical reference to Gerontology in Byzantium, which is a study by E Rembelakou and I. Matsoukis of the Athens University Medical School.
