Survey: Knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of immigrants and foreigners from third countries on HIV / AIDS and sexual reproductive health


•    Duration: 4 months (December 2009 to April 2010)

•    Funding: Ministry of Health

•    Partners: Cyprus Family Planning Organization and Cyprus University of Technology

•    The program investigates the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions amongst immigrants, foreign students and foreign workers living in Cyprus on  HIV / AIDS

•    Data would be collected through the administration of 500 closed questionnaires (method of non-statistical sampling). People will be asked about a) how they perceive the HIV & AIDS and their consequences and b) their knowledge on the modes of HIV transmission.  

•    The findings of the survey will be used to design a training public health program for people from third countries on sexual health issues.
